Sashiko Weave Handkerchief

A handkerchief engraved with care in geometric patterns creating a new feel to traditional cloth.
Worked by cutting large drawing pattern cloth means that the pattern differs with each one. Sashiko is a Japanese wrapping cloth is traditionally used to wrap lunchboxes and would equally look great tied around necks or worn as a bandana.

The word Sashiko literally means ‘little stabs’ a reference to the stitches employed in the repeating or interlocking patterns. Sashiko grew out of a simple, rough - hewn rural culture of farmers and fishing communities.
