We love it when brand new stock arrives and these newly commissioned rugs from the Ukraine certainly do not disappoint. We have worked closely with Olga our maker on this design and colours, the Ikat style is timeless and we have added a chunky looped bobble to give added detail. The rugs are made from sheep reared on the High Carpathian mountains, the landscape is intrinsic to the making process. Cold river water is used to soften the wool and make the natural dyes. Once the rug is woven the rugs are washed and agitated in the running water to preshrink and soften the rug.
African print cushions
Our new range of African print cushions are now in the store, beautiful authentic wax resist cloth in an array of colours and patterns. Combining striking bold designs with stunning colours these traditional designs work so well in contemporary interiors. Changing up cushions is such an easy way to inject pattern and colour into a room. So embrace the print, we think you will love the collection. Check them out in Textiles in the store.

Ceramics just got big and bold
The best time is when new season stock arrives at the C+C headquarters. This time we have changed it up a bit and chosen some big sculptural vessels of statement quality, pieces to work equally well standing alone or grouping with your current collection of objects. We have chosen vessels with warm friendly tones of ecru, smokey blues, browns and oatmeal with a nod to Mid Century modernism. Stuff that transcends fashion will be happy in your home interiors for years to come and will serve you well. Go check it out in the HOMEWARE section in the store now.
New Ukrainian rugs have landed
Its always exciting when new stock arrives, these gorgeous fluffy rugs commissioned by us from the Ukraine are a treat to unpack. Unique to C + C, these one off limited edition are certainly an investment and will serve you well for years and years. Perfect for the floor and can be used as a bed throw in the colder climes, combed to a fluffy texture on one side and flips to a boucle finish on the other side. Natural dyes give an intense depth of colour to the sheep wool, all hand woven by Olga and her family in the Carpathian mountains in Ukraine. We endeavour to support craft makers when ever possible, dealing direct to keep communication clear and personable allowing a relationship to build up naturally and organically. Check out the range in TEXTILES in the store.
Our new Mini Monster family

Green Earth Dept. Store Pop Up
Well the doors finally closed on Saturday after a wonderful 3 day pop up event in Macclesfield. What a great success it was too, people from far and wide visited the store to meet the local creative collective. We had Marisel leather goods, In Twos And Threes embroidery, Dick Vincent illustration, Green Earth flowers botanicals and Yolk cakes and preserves. It was a debut event and after the great reaction we have received we are hoping to repeat it and do it all again. Watch this space but we reckon it will rise again probably in the spring 2020. A massive thanks to all who visited and spent their hard earned cash with us.

Welsh Tapestry blankets hit the store
I love it when i discover gorgeous preloved finds, these 2 blankets where together when i spotted them, so clearly a collector had once owned them both. Welsh blankets were traditionally given as wedding gifts to be handed down generation to generation. They were originally woven by hand and are technically known a Tapestry Blankets. They are woven using a double cloth construction which hasn’t changed since the mid 1880’s, giving a practical, hard wearing cloth which allows a reversible pattern. They are timeless and will fit in any contemporary or traditional home, ready to be passed down to continue this lovely tradition. Both available in Textiles in store.
